Welcome to the PTA Page!

The PTA is a group of parents who have children attending Westwoodside C.E. School together with representatives from the School’s teaching staff.  The PTA is a committee who organise various social events to raise funds for the school.  These events are for both adults and children and have included quiz nights, balls, discos, beetle bolas, Christmas and Summer Fairs.  The funds are used to purchase much needed equipment for the school and also to pay for activities which enhance the children’s learning experiences.

Previously we have helped purchase Smart Boards in the children’s classrooms, a PA and lighting system.  This will make a big difference to the discos and also Christmas performances in the future.  A current project we are supporting is the refurbishment of the school library.

If you would like to join the PTA or if you could spare some time to help at our events please come along to our meetings or contact a member of the PTA.   Details of our next meeting can be found on the minutes of the last meeting on the PTA noticeboard outside the school office.  New members are always welcome and it is a lovely way of meeting new people at school.

Finally, if you have any ideas/suggestions for future events that you would like the PTA to arrange then please feel free to speak to any PTA committee member, to a member of the school’s teaching staff or simply leave a note of your suggestion in the ‘PTA Suggestion Box’ which is situated by the school office.
