I have been a Governor  for 15 years and I have recently been elected as Chair of Governors, I have helped in school in many capacities, including Y6 yearbooks and cycling lessons.  I am also a Cub and Beaver Leader.  My aim is to work with others to help drive this Academy forward to enable the children to learn to their fullest potential.

I have now been a Governor for  a number of years and am currently Vice-Chair of  Full Governors and Chair of Resources Committee.  I have two daughters at the School.  Outside of School I design and fit kitchens and bedrooms through my own company.

Rev Green - Foundation Governor - (Ex Officio)

I have been Vicar of Haxey and Owston Ferry since 2006 and an ex officio Governor of Westwoodside CE Academy since then.  After University, I taught French and German for 5 years at a secondary school before training to be a priest.   I am married to a primary school teacher, and we have 3 grown up children (one of whom is a teacher).

Hello, I am the head teacher of Westwoodside Church of England Academy.  I am an ex-officio governor and work closely with the governing body to keep them informed about the priorities for the school and our developments. We aim to make the best difference we can for all our children.

Appointed through St Nicholas Church as a Foundation governor, I have had 4 children who have all successfully moved through this school.  I am Health & Safety governor lead and a member of the Resources Committee.  I have a Wood Yard Business.

I'm a parent governor, with one boy in reception and twin boys who will start nursery in 2017. I've worked for Doncaster Council for the last 10 years, initially in the library service conducting outreach work and reading activities, and now the Education team, developing technologies to support and innovate the service.

I have taught within this school for a good number of years and after finishing a term as Governor at South Axholme Academy I am now elected Teacher Governor representative here at Westwoodside.  I am currently using my expertise on the Curriculum Committee.  I have a daughter who attended this school before moving further through the Education system.  I enjoy Tap dancing, Zumba and spending time with my family.

Having been in education for the previous 5 years, I am supportive of the learning of my own children and supporting other children to achieve their potential. It's my intention to use all my skills and knowledge to support the school, the children and to monitor progress, so everyone achieves.

Sara Curtis - Co-Opted Governor

I am a parent of 3 children who  attend this school.  I have over twenty years experience  in management and leadership within banking and financial services.  I am currently studying towards becoming an Educational Psychologist and work as a Life Coach and Educational Consultant, focusing on CPD in schools. My interests are developmental education and neuropsychology, football, cricket and music.

My name is Liz Jenman and I am a Foundation governor. I am a Local Minister at St Nicholas Church. I help to run the Sunday Bunch and lead All Age services and children’s workshops. I have taught at Haxey C of E School for 16 years, where I currently teach RE and music.
