Our value of perseverance was added in September 2018. This value reflects our aim to support children to be the very best learners they can and to enable them to persevere in all aspects of their learning developing resilience when things are tricky. Our children demonstrate perseverance when things are challenging whether this is in learing or on the sports' field. It also reflect the lengths our staff go to in ensuring that all our children are supported to be the very best people they can be.

Jesus perservered when he was tempted in the desert and refused to give in.

Matthew 4 v 1-11

Respect is a core value in our school and underpins all our work with children and families. Our children learn to respect others from different faiths, cultures and backgrounds. Respect is a also a core British Value.

" So in everything, do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Matthew Ch 7 v12

We trust everyone in our school community to be honest with each other and honest with themselves.  We want all our children to be able to tell the truth and to be trustworthy in the way they carry out their responsibilities in school.

"You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free."

John Ch 8 v 32

Love is one of the Kingdom values. It is seen through all the relationships in our school. We strive to love life, love learning and love one another.

"Love your neighbour as yourself."

Mark Ch 12 v 31

Friendship is a key value in our school. Friends are not afraid to tell the truth to each other and are always there to help in good times and bad. Jesus was often seen to be a friend with those who were outcast in society. He shared meals with his friends just as we share our Agape meal with all our friends to reinforce our values.

"A friend loves all the time."

Proverbs Ch17 v 17

Compassion is about having empathy with someone, it is stronger than just 'sympathy'. Empathy causes a desire to act to help others. In our school this can be seen in the way children learn and play together. It is also seen in the way staff and pupils work together and it underpins our strong ethos of inclusion. It is found reflected in our charity work both for local communities and those further afield.

"Paul said, 'Clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility,  gentleness and patience."

Colossians  Ch 3v 12
